Terms and Conditions:
  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to participate in the 1st Editon of Coal India Bhubaneswar Half Marathon.
  • Only on ground event participants who are winners are eligible for prize money.
  • Age Category Winners will be declared within 3 months from the race date i.e after thorough evaluation of the winners official document.
  • Prize money is subject to change at the discretion of Organisers.
  • All prizes are applicable for Indian Citizens only.
  • All prizes are subject to taxation and completion of necessary formalities.
  • All rights reserved with Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (A Subsidiary of Coal India Limited).
  • Electronic Chip time could be used to determine the winners of the race in all categories.
  • The organiser reserves the right to close registration fully or category wise.
  • Right to amend/ remove any clause rest on the organiser.
2. What is the minimum age of participants in all categories?
  • For Half Marathon and 10KM run 18 years and above as on 01.03.2025.
  • For Half Marathon and 10KM run 18 years and above as on 01.03.2025.
  • For 1.5km Fun Run – Everyone is invited to participate without any age limits
3. What is the registration fee?

  • Payment accepted only through online gateways.
  • Once a registration is confirmed the fee is non-refundable.
  • Registration is non-transferable.
  • In case your application is rejected, payment gateway charges may be applicable inclusive of all taxes.
4. What are the payment modes for registration?
  • Payment accepted through online gateways only.

5. What does the registration fee cover?

The registration fee is exclusively for your participation in the 1st Edition of Coal India Bhubaneswar Half Marathon 2025. The fee doesn’t in a part or fully guaranty the various amenities provided such as:

  • • Official Race BIB along with the RFID Chip (for 21,10 and 5).
  • Official T-Shirt
  • Goodie Bag
  • Water and energy drink along the course.
  • Medical Assistance.
  • Light Refreshment at finish point.
  • Timing Certificate (Except 1.5 KM run)
  • Participation e-certificate will be provided for 1.5 KM run participants also.
  • RFID Chip is only for the prize money race.
6. What are the cut off time for all categories?

  • To ensure that the timing is recorded, the runner must cross all the timing mats provided at various locations.
  • The timing certificate will be provided for runners who have completed half marathon / 10 KM / 5 KM within the cut off time.
  • Registration is non-transferable.
  • The 1.5 KM run is not a timed event and participants will be provided with a participation certificate and a medal.
7. What is the terrain / race route?
  • The start and end point will be Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar
8. Is the race route suitable and supportive for bare footed runner?
  • No. The race authorities do not allow bare foot running on the route.
9. I haven’t received any confirmation message or receipt for the event registered, what should I do?
  • If you have any queries regarding payment or have not received any confirmation message of your registrations, you can contact us at – (cibhmmcl@gmail.com)
10. Can I register myself for more than one race?
  • No. Individual registration is limited to participation in only one race.
  • In case of multiple registrations, the registration will be cancelled.
11. Can I change my race category after confirmation of my registration for the race?
  • No. Once the race category has been confirmed, the same can’t be changed later.
12. Can I get refund, transfer or donate my registration?
  • No. We do not have a refund policy. Once a registration is confirmed the registration fee is non-refundable, unless the event gets cancelled. The registration is also non-transferable.
13. Can I apply offline?
  • No, only online registration is available.
14. When will the Bib Distribution take place?
  • It will be informed via e-mail and sms few days before the race day
15. How do I get to the start point?
  • All the races begin at the Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar
  • Click on the Google Maps link to get a sense of venue.
16. Does the venue have parking lot?
  • Yes. The parking plan will be provided before the race day.
17. Is there baggage counter at the venue?
  • We strongly recommend not to carry any baggage. If you are carrying any belongings on the race day, preferably keep them in your vehicles. The organisers of the Coal India Marathon is not responsible for any losses or damage to the belongings. All baggage will be screened for security reasons, and we recommend not to have anything valuable or fragile goods in your bag.
18. Will there be aid station and emergence medical assistance along the route?
  • Yes. Participant’s health is our foremost priority.
  • The route will have adequate aid station, loaded with hydration, energy and medical facilities along the route.
  • Mobile health care units are also available.
  • Recovery rooms will be accompanied by a physiotherapist and will be available at the finish point.
19. Is there accommodation available for participants who come from outside?
  • No.
20. Can I use iPod / Headphones during the race?
  • Yes. Music can be a great companion. However, don’t get carried away. Be alert to signage and announcements of the race marshals.
21. Medical Check-Up:
  • It is mandatory for participants to get the Doctor’s clearance before participating in this run
22. It will be deemed that runners participating in this run have agreed to the terms and condition

Race Timing & Reporting

Race Start Times:
  • 21 km – 04:30 AM
  • 10 km – 04:55 AM
  • 5 km – 07:05 AM
  • 1.5 km Fun Run – 07:45 AM

To be eligible for prize money, runners must cross the start line within 10 minutes of the official start time of their category.

Reporting Time: 30 minutes before your race start time.

Line up according to your assigned zone: Zone A (front row), Zone B (next), and so on.

Car & Bike Parking: Entry via Gate No. 8B for all runners.

Cut-off Timings

  • 21 km– 3 hrs 15 mins
  • 10 km – 90 mins
  • 5 km – 50 mins
